Burmantofts is the Champion!

A big congratulation to the winners of the first ever sports fest held last 4th of July 2009. Burmantofts care group came first and was declared by Pastor Roger Gantala as the over-all champion with a tallied score of 22 points. Seacroft came second with 18 points, while East End Park and Harehills came third and four, respectively. See photos by clicking here.

"Unity in Diversity" was the theme of the event. At the opening, Pastor Roger Gantala stressed out that "This is not a competition to show who among us is the mightiest but a chance for us to mingle with one another through sports, by doing so we may learn our strength, as well as our limitation. As a Church, we all should be united as one, with Christ Jesus as our head." "How good and pleasant it is when brothers live together in unity!” Ps 133:1 (NIV)

Meanwhile at camp Seacroft, members are now busy preparing for the next year event... Stay tuned for more updates.
