Another year passed and another five of our brothers and sisters sealed their faith by baptism last Monday, 31st of August 2009. Witnessed by a number of the church congregation who braved the traffic by driving on a bank holiday from Leeds to Scaborough. We were blessed by a good weather as we set-off from our rendezvous point at Bro. Tomas mansion early in the morning. We arrived safely and head for the North Bay.
Pastor Roger Gantala officiated the simple rite with a small talk and hymns, after which all candidates shared their personal testaments with the Lord. It wasn't long after that they were lead to the shallow water of the great English east coast and was baptised through water immersion. As always and forever will be, we finish-off with a festive banquet. Sadly, no cheese pimentos sandwich this year.
