Four of our brothers and sisters received the water baptism last Monday, the 4th of August 2008. It was a day of celebration for the Church of Hope Leeds as half of the congregations set-off to Scarborough to witness the baptism in the east coast of North Yorkshire.
The sun was up and the breeze was mild, a perfect day truly the Lord has made for Bro Lito, Bro Arnold, Sis Fe and Sis Grace. At high noon, they took turn sharing their testimonies on how they encounter Jesus Christ and made Him as their saviour to families and friends by the beach front. After which Pastor Roger Gantala one by one led them to icy shallow water where they were baptised.
As always, in true Hope Leeds spirit, the occasion was gloriously concluded with a hearty feast of chicken adobo with rice and cheese pimento sandwiches.
